The Romanov Memorial Hall was opened in 2006. Its exposition tells about the Romanov dynasty on the Russian throne, about Russia during the reign of Nicholas II, the tragic events of July 17, 1918 and the secret burial of the remains of the royal family.
The Romanov memory hall has unique exhibits of undoubted interest: an icon depicting the first king of the dynasty; fireplace of Kasli cast-iron moulding and window grill from the “execution” room, as well as other decor and interior items of the engineer Ipatiev’s house; Mauser pistol belonging to P.Z. Ermakov, the participant of the murder of the Romanovs ; Portrait of the Princess Louise Hesse-Kassel, great-grandmother of Nicholas II, from the office of Alexander III in Anichkov Palace.
